Businesses Offering Veteran's Day Freebies To Service People

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - On November 11 the nation will honor those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. There are a number of restaurants and businesses across North Texas that are honoring veterans tomorrow with Veterans Day deals and freebies.

McDonald's is giving away a free breakfast sandwich or a free breakfast burrito, with a side of hash browns or a cup of coffee. The promotion is for dine-in only.

IHOP is offering free red, white and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Denny's is offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast to active, inactive and retired military personnel from 5 a.m. to noon.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is offering a free breakfast (doughnut and coffee) to anyone who identifies themselves as a veteran or active military personnel. The offer is valid dine-in only.

Norma's Café is offering a free breakfast to all veterans and current military members at all four locations.

At both Abacus in Dallas and Jasper's in Plano and Richardson, veterans will receive a complimentary entrée with a valid military ID.

All of the restaurants owned and operated by Consolidated Restaurant Operations are offering a complimentary meal to veterans and active duty military personnel. The offers at the various restaurants are as follows –

Mimi's Cafe is saluting America's military by offering a free entrée from a special all-day 'Veterans Day' menu.

Logan's Roadhouse is offering  veterans and active duty military a free entrée from its special Veterans Day Menu on November 11.

Little Caesars is offering free a Hot-N-Ready lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applebee's has free meals from a special menu and get a $5 coupon for veterans.

Outback Steakhouse is offering a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage on Veterans Day and a 15% discount for active and former service members and their families through December 31.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is offering all veterans and active duty military a free Red's Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries at participating restaurants nationwide.

Ruby Tuesday is offering vets a free appetizer valued up to $10.

Buffalo Wild Wings has a free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries for military personnel.

Chipotle is offering U.S. military, military spouses and veterans a buy one get one free burrito, bowl, salad or tacos from 3 p.m. to close.

Chili's has a free meal from a special menu for all U.S. veterans and active duty personnel. Contact your local Chili's for the available menu options.

Olive Garden is offering veterans a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu, and unlimited soup or salad and garlic breadsticks.

Cracker Barrel has a sweet treat for veterans. Military veterans can get a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake on November 11. The offer is good for dine in only.

Rock & Brews is paying tribute to veterans, active military and first responders by offering a complimentary pulled pork sandwich at participating restaurants with proof of service.

The Denton County Transportation Authority is offering free rides for veterans and active military personnel on Veteran's Day.

Texas Mission of Mercy, a mobile dental clinic, is providing free dental care to our nation's heroes on both Friday and Saturday. The no-cost services will include basic, pain-relieving and preventive procedures such as dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions. A limited number of partial dentures are also being offered. The event is taking place at the Veterans Resource Center at 4900 S. Lancaster Road in Dallas. Doors will open at 6:00 a.m. and services are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Great Clips has a special deal for military personnel tomorrow. All veterans who go to Great Clips for a haircut on Veterans day will receive a coupon for a free hair cut valid through December 31.

Note -- most of the businesses require veterans and active military personnel to show their military ID, state-issued ID with veteran/military designation or discharge papers to receive the offers.
