BEREA, Ohio (AP) - The Browns are not in any rush to make a decision on quarterback Johnny Manziel's future.

Sashi Brown, the team's newly appointed vice president of football operations, said Thursday the team is "not in any panic to make any decision one way or another on him." Manziel had a second straight troubling season with Cleveland. He had more off-the-field issues and Manziel did not attend the team's season finale against Pittsburgh. The QB was out with a concussion at the time, but Manziel skipped a mandated medical treatment at the team's facility.

Brown, who was introduced at a news conference along with new strategy director Paul DePodesta, said he did not know where Manziel was on the last weekend of the season. Brown said Manziel was fined for missing his scheduled treatment.

Brown said new coach Hue Jackson will have a major role in deciding what the Browns will do with Manziel.
