DALLAS (CBS11) - Three British Navy sailors accused of attacking a Dallas Police officer will not face charges.

The Dallas County District Attorney's office confirms it will not file charges against the men.

They were arrested in February when the officer was attacked as he tried to break up a fight.

Three British sailors,  Christopher Casey, 28, Christopher Hickman, 30 and Callum Duncan, 26, were accused of attacking a Dallas Police officer.

Police say Senior Corporal Gerado Huanta was in uniform working an off-duty security job when he tried to break up a bar fight in Uptown.

When he jumped in, police say the three members of the British Royal Navy started hitting and kicking Huanta.

Corporal Huanta was treated at Parkland Hospital and released.
