Bridge Damage Closes Right Lane of NB I-35E At Mayhill Road

DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- Engineers were assessing a bridge on I-35E over at Mayhill Road Wednesday afternoon after officials reported "damage to the bridge deck."
As chopper 11 flew over the area a hole could be seen in the surface of the roadway.
Kimberly Sims of the "35 Express" project said that engineers are "still investigating" what caused the damage. The right lane is closed on the bridge and will be for "some time" according to Sims.
The 35Express project extends about thirty miles from US-380 in Denton County to I-635 in Dallas County.
