DALLAS, Texas (1080 KRLD) - A bomb threat at a Dallas school in Deep Ellum closed several streets in that part of the city Tuesday afternoon.

Dallas Fire Rescue sent the bomb squad to Dallas' Uplift Prep Academy on Elm Street.

According to school officials, students reported seeing an unidentified person walk by one of the classrooms and dropped black bag on the sidewalk in front of the school.

The teacher notified school staff, which notified Dallas Fire and Dallas Police.

The school was evacuated while crews check it out.

The school decided to release the students at 2:45pm, and moved the pick-up area away from Elm St. to keep everybody away from that block in front of the school.

At 4:30pm the all-clear was given. No threat was identified, the location was cleared and all streets were reopened.
