WYLIE (CBSDFW.COM) – Families up for something more adventurous than bobbing for apples on Halloween may want to visit In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center instead.

They're invited to bring the kids to enjoy pumpkin-flavored treats and candy as they watch the big cats "carve" their own pumpkins.

A caution: many of the sanctuary's big cats are afraid of costumes of any sort, so - NO costumes.

Gates open 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., but Halloween festivities are 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

In-Sync Exotics is currently home to 68, 5 to 500 lb exotic cats; including two exceptionally rare white lions, one white tiger, a Brazilian ocelot and two cheetahs.

Two lemurs and a coatimundi are housed at the center, too.
