Cystic Fibrosis affects an estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States, according to the CFF. This life-threatening genetic disease affects the lungs and digestive system. Variant Commercial Real Estate, along with Seth and Allison Hare, present the Dallas Wine Opener benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Friday night event features bites from Max's Wine Dive, Boulevardier and Tillman's Roadhouse along with international and domestic wine pairings. Tickets are $75 each. Called "golf with a gun," clay shooting is a lot of fun. It takes good hand-eye coordination and this event is a great way to share a sport that is often overlooked when it comes to pairs and team sporting. The event will be broadcasted live by radio personality Gordon Keith of the "Ticket." The fees are $150 per shooter, $225 for parent/child team, $600 for a four-man team and $1,100 to $10,000 for exclusive sponsorships.

This is an excellent opportunity to share your love of the great outdoors by participating in the 22nd Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Clay Shoot. This specific event benefits the Bigs Outdoors Mentoring Program, which pairs adults who love the outdoors with children who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to enjoy leisure time outside. The queen of soul lends her voice to support CitySquare and help end poverty. More than 70,000 Dallas residents benefit from CitySquare's 14 different programs. These programs range from life skills classes, pre-employment training to a health clinic, food pantry and permanent supportive housing. Started by two Plano ISD teachers, City House has provided emergency shelter and transitional residential services for area children, young adults and their families for 26 years. Former Dallas Cowboys Randy White and Ed "Too Tall" Jones serve as honorary chairs for this annual event that benefits City House. Masks are optional for this cocktail-attired event which includes a silent auction. Tickets are $150 with sponsorship levels ranging from $3,000 to $30,000.
