This huge extravaganza is a universe where LEGO lovers and builders of all ages can enjoy games, hands-on creative seminars, meet professional LEGO artists and find inspiration for your next LEGO project. Aspiring architects will love the architectural building area where you use only white LEGO bricks to master techniques. Brooklyn-based LEGO artist Jonathan Lopes' inspiring urban landscapes and his 14-foot long Manhattan Bridge will be on display. You can get yourself "LEGOlized" by a professional caricature artist. The Big Brick building area is for children under five years of age, where they can play with thousands of LEGO DUPLO bricks. (Be sure to bring your camera to capture these precious construction moments). Looking to pick up some LEGO brick cupcakes, doughnuts or items to complete your LEGO liquor cabinet or bar build (Brick Daniels, Bricardi Select, Brick Beam, etc.)? How about a brick smart phone? Are you a collector who is looking for a retired item, rare mini figures or wanting a custom brick piece? There will be vendors selling all things LEGO.  Parking is connected to the convention center and is fully handicap accessible. This fun exhibit is for all ages.

www.faccdallas.comNov. 20, 2015In honor of the official uncorking of the New Beaujolais wine, a Beaujolais & Beyond Wine Festival was started in Dallas.  Over its 32-year history, it has evolved into one of French-American Chamber of Commerce - Dallas' premier wine tasting events, featuring wines from France, America (including Texas and the West Coast) along with delectable bites from some of the Metroplex's well-known eateries (Chocolate Secrets, Empire Baking Company, Mozzarella Company, Parigi, Salum Restaurant and more). There is a silent auction, entertainment and attendees receive a keepsake wine glass. This Ooo, la, la night is for adults only.

Dallas Marathon Health & Fitness Expo

www.dallasmarathon.comDec. 11 - 12, 2015The Dallas Marathon Health & Fitness Expo is a two-day event filled with exhibits, information and the newest merchandise specifically geared to health-conscience people and runners. There is plenty to see and do. The Health and Fitness Expo is running in connection with the Dallas Marathon on Dec. 13. Not sure if you can run the full 26.2 miles for a marathon? There is a half marathon of 13.1 miles, or you can get four of your friends together for the Behringer five person relay where each team member runs between 4.25 and 6.25 miles. The total combined will equal 26.2 miles. To get you warmed up, on Sat. Dec. 12, there is an Oncor 5k Mayor's Race. There is also a one-mile fun run. The time limit on the 5k is one hour. The time limits for the Dec. 13 marathons are 6.5 hours. Utilizing the guidelines of the USA Track & Field and Wheelchair Sports USA, only runners, walkers and wheelchair participants will be allowed on the course.  There are registration fees associated with the runs and marathons, but admission to the Health & Fitness Expo is free.

Jan. 23 - 24, 2016The National Cheerleaders Association and the National Dance Alliance present the High School National Championships. This is the largest competition in the country with over 25,000 athletes representing more than 1,300 teams.
