Kicking off at the Americans Airlines Center at North Houston Street at 8 a.m. on March 22, 2015, the Rock 'n' Roll Dallas Half Marathon is a two-person marathon relay that winds through downtown Dallas onto Canton Street and around to Oak Lawn. Runners will have the riotous live music from locals bands to motivate them along their journey throughout the race. At the end, runners will have free admission to the Finish Line Festival and Post Race concert.

This year, however, organizers are dropping hints that there are new twists to the race that have not been seen before. This Mud Run will somehow also include "coming clean" and revealing the "skeletons in your closet." The run organizers have yet to reveal what this means for participants, but it is sure to mean big fun and excitement for all. Set for March 28, 2015, the Firefly Run is a 5K or 10K dash through the night, lit up and set aglow with LED lights, glow sticks and anything else that shines in the darkness. The after-race stage is set for lasers, lights and endless music for dancing and enjoying the fresh night air, completing the full nightlife experience for runners and voyeurs alike.

This 5K will determine whether or not you could survive if Dallas was overtaken by zombies. This thrilling, frightful night run judges your ability to escape the undead by your run time. Dress to fit the part, or play the role of the embattled living; either way, your athleticism will be put to the test. Finishing at under half an hour makes you a survivor, while a finish time of over half an hour would make you zombie food. After the race, the fun continues with a costume contest and brain-eating contest and just good old fashioned zombie festivities.
