Best Skate Parks In DFW

Skate parks have become one of the most popular entertainment spots for skating enthusiasts. Gone are the days of sneaking into public parks after hours to indulge in their favorite diversion. The following locations are some of the best skate parks in DFW. Grab your boards, perhaps your scooters, and get ready for some serious fun.

The Edge At Allen Station Park
201 E. St. Mary
Allen, TX 75013
(214) 509-4760
www.cityofallen.orgIts 37,915 square feet makes The Edge skate park in Allen the largest outdoor skate park in Texas. It has a variety of features, from ramps and rails to ledges, street fixtures and bowls. Skaters from all over come to this park to mix it up on courses and terrain of various skill levels. You must bring your own safety equipment with you; that means helmets and pads at the bare minimum. During inclement weather skate parks will close, so be sure to check the local weather and plan your trip as you see fit.

Lakeland Hills
8502 Hunnict Road
Dallas, TX 75228
(214) 670-8281
www.dallasparks.org/213/Skate-ParkOperated and managed by the city of Dallas, Lakeland Hills skate park is truly an arena for "skaters only." This free park was designed with fun and challenge in mind by professional skaterboarder Dorian Tucker. There is a little rough street structure about the park, so novice skaters may feel more comfortable in an all ages and skill level park rather than visiting these grounds. However, if "skate or die" is your mantra, you'll feel right at home throwing down your board for some old school fun. Regardless of skill level, this is a great place for people to come and watch and learn. It's free to the public, so novice riders can always swing on by, take a seat and watch some of the more advanced skaters go at it. It's a tutorial for all to behold.
