Best November Concerts In DFW

The build up to the holidays are getting the most attention in November, but there are still a lot of really good concerts, holiday related or not, going on in the Dallas Fort Worth area. From symphony orchestras to blues and honky tonk music, there is something for every taste. Here are the five best concerts we could find for November in the area.

Tommy Emmanuel
The Majestic Theatre
1925 Elm St.
Dallas, Texas 75201
(214) 670-3687
www.dallasculture.org/majestictheatreTommy Emmanuel will be playing the Majestic Theater at 8 p.m., Nov. 20. Emmanuel is a world champion guitar player from Australia, and does things with a guitar no one else can. He gets sounds out of the instrument you will not believe. While Emmanuel performs a great concert, the setting itself is also worth a visit. The Majestic was built in 1929 and still has marble floors and marble staircases. There are three balconies, and it is the last remaining venue of Dallas' historic theater row. Experience amazing guitar playing and a piece of history at the same time.
Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker
Morton Meyerson Symphony Center
2301 Flora St.
Dallas, Texas, 75201
(214) 670-3600
www.mydso.comTchaikovsky's Nutracker is a holiday classic that can put you in a festive mood quickly. This performance will be the complete musical suite performed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Nov. 27-29. The orchestra will perform alone, and this is a chance for music lovers to lose themselves in the music itself. The concert is an hour and 45 minutes long, and there will be a 20-minute intermission. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday's concert is at 2:30 p.m.
Willie Nelson
Billy Bobs Texas
2520 Rodeo Plaza
Fort Worth, Texas 76106
(817) 624-7117
billybobstexas.comWillie Nelson will be performing at 10:30 p.m., Nov. 28 at Billy Bobs, which bills itself as the world's largest honky tonk. Nelson is a country music icon, and may also be one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Texas. Nelson has been playing music for decades and is still as intriguing as ever with his soulful lyrics and country flavor. Billy Bobs is also a great experience, with something for everyone. While Willie Nelson is always a great show, you will also have a great time with all the other things going on at this honky tonk.
