Best Live Dance Performances Coming To DFW
There are lots of opportunities to experience dance this summer in the Dallas area. There are many classes, of course, but there are also some great performances. A lot of groups put on dance shows regularly, here are some we liked.

This is an opportunity to see modern dance performed by local dancers at the highest level. Modern dance in all its forms will be on display. There will be performances each evening by dancers who have qualified to perform in this festival. Tickets will be available beginning in July. Dancers of all types competed for a spot in these shows.

They have performed around the world. The New York Times called it "a supercharged ensemble of mesmerizing movement and precision." Performances are also set for the Bass Performance Hall Oct. 7-9. The Texas Ballet Theater is hosting the performance, and the Royal Ballet and Queensland Ballet are also sponsors.

Artistic director Anastasia Waters work on Omnipotence, that started in 2010, will be featured. It will close its fourth season with performances in July. There is a wide variety of interpretation type dancing, lively music, plenty of drama and some laughs. Artistic dance students will like this, but it should be entertaining for the entire familly.

Dancers from all over the state are called on to explore the art of dance, and their performance is part of the overall event. There will be professional post modern, contemporary, dance for camera, and theater works for participants. There are also parts for the public to join in and dance. This is one of the less expensive shows in Dallas with a suggested donation of $5.
