There were 3,000 people marching by the end. Alan Ross was the man who put the parade on each year, and after he passed in 1995, the Dallas Tavern Guild named the parade after him. In 2014, thousands of people lined the streets to enjoy the parade, as members of the DFW LGBT community marched to show unity and celebrate life. All entrants have to fill out an application to march, which is found on the Dallas Pride website.
