When you think about Texas, you don't normally think about Irish pubs. Trinity Hall opened back in 2001 and has the great, warm atmosphere that you are likely to find in a pub. It is known for its extensive whiskey collection and the different fun games it offers. If you head here on Thursday or Sunday, you are likely to be able to hear some live music. It's also a great place for trivia, poker and watching sports on the big screen. This is perfect for St. Patrick's Day if you're looking to enjoy a good pint or whiskey and there are always specials.

The Idle Rich Pub is Irish owned and operated and offers the friendly atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub. It's in the middle of the Uptown area of Dallas. The cabinetry, furnishing and tile work were all imported directly from Ireland so this place is the real deal. St. Patrick's Day at Idle Rich Pub is often celebrated with live music, Irish dancing and traditional dishes that are delicious on their own or with some festive green beer.

This pub is owned and operated by a Dublin native, which makes the name of the pub very appropriate. Even before St. Patrick's Day, you can enjoy whiskey specials here every day. The food menu includes yummy and traditional Irish dishes as well as some other American favorites. This pub is usually part of the annual block party and celebrates with live music, traditional Irish dishes and traditional Irish beers.

The Blackfriar is also Irish owned. The atmosphere and decor in this pub is interesting and welcoming. A lot of the decor inside came from the Hard Rock Cafe that was once right next door. Some woodwork came from a castle in England owned by Pete Townshend of The Who. Blackfriar often has craft beers that are rotating so you can always look forward to something new on the beer menu. On St. Patrick's Day, you can enjoy live music on the patio, dishes like corned beef and cabbage, and plenty of good beer.

Anvil Pub is a little gem in Deep Ellum. It is known mostly for its brunch but it has a lot of other things going for it as well. Anvil has amazing and unique bloody marys and mimosas, and its chili is always getting great reviews. It also has a large collection of different types of Jameson so you can also easily find a great whiskey to drink while you're enjoying the food. In fact, the kitchen is "green" as well so it tastes great while also being good for you. This is always a great place to go to have a good time and St. Patrick's Day is no different. Enjoy some great food and great drinks.
