The Blackfriar is also Irish owned. The atmosphere and decor in this pub is interesting and welcoming. A lot of the decor inside came from the Hard Rock Cafe that was once right next door. Anvil Pub is a little gem in Deep Ellum. It is known mostly for its brunch but it has a lot of other things going for it as well. Anvil has amazing and unique bloody marys and mimosas, and its chili is always getting great reviews. It also has a large collection of different types of Jameson so you can also easily find a great whiskey to drink while you're enjoying the food. In fact, the kitchen is "green" as well so it tastes great while also being good for you. This is always a great place to go to have a good time and St. Patrick's Day is no different.
