The Dunkel

At one time, Franconia Brewing was one of the only craft beer brewing companies in the DFW area. While other breweries have popped up and started to impress beer drinkers, Franconia remains a DFW institution and hasn't lost a step throughout the competition. The company has been known to brew their beers right, and also respect the DFW area by keeping their brewery green. The best craft beer to come from Franconia might be the Dunkel, a Munich-style beer which is a dark lager that is rich, but not off-putting.

Revolver Brewing is located just southwest of Fort Worth and brews up some great craft beers for bars all over the DFW area. A second option for a Revolver craft beer is Mother's Little Fracker, named after the Rolling Stones. This is a dark black beer with a taste of dark chocolate.
