Best Bars With Jukeboxes In DFW

When it comes to listening to music in a bar, the iconic image of a jukebox still reigns supreme. Many bars have eliminated their jukeboxes from their establishments, but there are a few in the DFW Metroplex that still have them.

Twilite Lounge
2640 Elm St.
Dallas, TX 75226
(214) 741-2121
www.thetwilitelounge.comTwilite Lounge is still in its infancy. It opened in Deep Ellum in 2013, the brainchild of two musicians- Danny Balis and Jess Barr. This classy dive bar is a great place to hide out and chill out. While it opened with a live performance of Denton songwriter, Will Johnson (Centro-Matic), one must not forget the jukebox that houses old school soul, as well as country. What else would you expect from two musicians? Are you looking for libations? Twilite Lounge has them. Local beers are on tap, and Twilite has a nice selection of beers in cans and bottles, with plenty of domestics, wine and house cocktails.
Lee Harvey's
1807 Gould St.
Dallas, TX 75149
(214) 428-1555
www.leeharveys.comLee Harvey's is located in the Cedars neighborhood of Dallas, just south of Downtown between Akard and Ervay Streets. Stepping into Lee Harvey's is like walking into a time capsule. Seth Smith took over the 60-year old bar 13 years ago. While Smith would like to have an old school jukebox that plays 45s in his establishment, the volume of music that the bar plays is not conducive for such a machine. Lee Harvey's boasts a 1200 song CD-based jukebox, which includes tunes by Billie Holliday, Hank Williams, the Sex Pistols, Isley Brothers, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Sinatra, the Commodores, Duran Duran and many more. This is a true dive bar with no beers on tap. All beers are either in bottles or cans and are packed on ice.
