The Olympic games are a unique event because they are one of few events that unite the whole world. Countries big and small come together to make this event possible. Some people have certain events they make sure to watch, or certain countries they like to see. Other people like the opening ceremonies and just the spectacle of it all. This also makes it a fun event to watch with a group of friends, or even with a group of strangers in a bar. If you're looking to watch the games while sipping a drink, and surrounded by a crowd, here are some of the best bars to watch the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Since Trinity Hall is most well known for its soccer coverage, or football if you prefer, this warm, friendly place always comes to mind to watch any sports that don't take place in the United States. Keep in mind that you may not be able to hear the television with the level of chatter in the bar. If you are looking to have a good time with your friends though, while just watching the games with a pint of beer, this is the place to go. There is also an exceptionally good menu for an Irish pub, so lunch or dinner while you watch is definitely an option.

This British pub also sparks the feeling of international sporting events and The Londoner will not let you down. The schedule of Olympic Games that will be shown is massive, so stop in anytime to see what is going on. The bar will even have beer specials in honor of the games. This is possibly the most unpretentious bar in Dallas. The relaxed atmosphere is compounded by the ripped booths and low lighting. If you don't want to change out of your lounge clothes, but need to get out of the house, this is the bar for you. You can even play some pool while you watch the Lakewood Landing's coverage of this year's Olympics.

Flips is a bar and grill with a little more emphasis on the grill part. It is a great place to grab dinner and a drink while watching the games. If you are looking for something specific, make sure to check the schedule ahead of time, but it does a pretty good job of showing the most popular, and even some not-so-popular events. There is even a patio in case there is some nice February spring weather.
