TORONTO (105.3 THE FAN) - Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre will not be playing in game 2 of the ALDS after suffering an apparent back injury Thursday night.

Beltre could hardly run to first base after hitting an RBI single in the top half of the inning, and received attention from the trainer at first base.

It's not sure if Beltre will be available to pinch hit for the Rangers on Friday. It will more than likely be a game time decision.

Beltre hit .287 with 18 homers and 87 RBIs this season. His two-out single in the third gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead over David Price and the Blue Jays in Game 1.
