AMES, Iowa (AP) — Johnathan Motley had a career-high 27 points and added 13 rebounds to help Baylor upset No. 13 Iowa State 94-89 on Saturday, handing the Cyclones their first home loss of the season.

Taurean Prince had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bears (12-3, 2-1 Big 12), who rallied from 11 down to beat the Cyclones on the road for the second year in a row.

Iowa State pulled to 80-76 before Prince hit a baseline jumper with 1:17 to go. Al Freeman's free throws with 12 seconds to go clinched Baylor's biggest win of the season.

Georges Niang scored 22 points and Monte Morris had 21 for Iowa State (12-3, 1-2), which has lost two of three after an 11-1 start.

Last season, the Bears used a late run to stun the Cyclones and end their 21-game home winning streak.

Baylor did it again Saturday, taking hold of a game Iowa State appeared to have control over.

After falling behind 56-45, the Bears outscored the Cyclones 35-17 in an 11-minute stretch that put them ahead 80-73. Iowa State blew its chance to rally by missing four straight free throws down the stretch — and a charge call on Morris with 50 seconds left sealed the Cyclones' fate.

Abdel Nader had 20 for Iowa State.

The Cyclones got off to a great start though, jumping ahead by 10 within the first five minutes.

But Baylor, thanks largely to an edge on the glass, inched back to 28-26. Back-to-back 3s from Matt Thomas and Niang pushed the Cyclones ahead 35-26 late in the first half.

Niang then sandwiched a jumper and a layup around a 3 in a 58-second stretch that gave Iowa State a 50-40 lead. Baylor responded with five straight baskets and an 11-0 run that tied it at 58 with just under 12 minutes left.

Baylor took its first lead, 67-66, on a 3 from Lester Medford with 8:05 left. Motley's putback dunk a few minutes later put the Bears back in front, 74-73.
