OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma erupted for four runs in the second inning and six in the third on its way to a 13-7 victory over Kansas State in an elimination game at the Big 12 tournament on Thursday.
Alex Wise went 2 for 4 with four RBIs to lead the Sooners (29-26-1), who will try to stay alive Friday when they meet the West Virginia-Texas Tech loser.
The Sooners scored two runs on passed balls, another on Cody Thomas' RBI double and a sacrifice fly in the second inning. Wise's two-out triple to left center drove in three of OU's six runs the next inning as it built a 10-2 cushion.
Alec Hansen (3-5) allowed three hits and walked five while giving up four runs in six innings. Parker Rigler (4-9) took the loss, surrendering eight runs on six hits and three walks.
K-State (26-31) was eliminated by the Sooners for the second year in a row.
