DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - Traveling for the holidays can be very hectic and when you add in delays, you can be a stressful ordeal.

Delays are even more stressful when you're traveling with children, but if you face a delay at DFW Airport this holiday, your kids have something to pass the time that isn't common to most airports.

The airport has a playground inside Terminal A specifically for families traveling with children.

The Ocampo family are happy to have such a distraction while waiting for their flight.

"There is always a 2 to 3 hour time frame before our next flight so this is a great big area to keep them entertained for the two hours that we are waiting on our next flight," said Mother Ira Ocampo.

But of course a playground is not an option in every airport or terminal.

So the Ocampos said when that's the case 3 keep their children occupied while waiting for flight.

First always have some snacks for your children.

Then keep in mind some mobile entertainment and give yourself plenty of travel time.

"Make sure your iPad is charged, and always come early to the airport," said Ira

The Ocampos believe if you follow this advice you can ensure you and the children will have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
