DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A man with an arrest warrant for murder in Kaufman County was arrested for attempted burglary in Dallas.

Last Tuesday, December 15, officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 7700 block of Concordia Lane.

The homeowner was home alone, asleep on her couch when she was awakened by a knock on the front door. Police say the first suspect, Jarvis Myron Kimble, who originally knocked, began to pound loudly on the door several times.

Police say the second suspect, John Raymond Williams was seen by the homeowner on surveillance video moving the surveillance camera. The homeowner called 911.  The suspects heard the homeowner scream as they were pounding on the door and they took off.

The homeowner was able to give the responding officers a good vehicle description which was put out over the police radio.

Other officers saw the suspect's vehicle and attempted to stop it.

However, when the suspect's vehicle came to a stop, they both got out and ran but officers caught them.

Detectives interviewed the pair and they confessed they were attempting to burglarize the home.

During the investigation, it was also discovered that Raymond Williams had a warrant for Burglary of Habitation out of Cedar Hill Police and a warrant for Possession out of the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.

Furthermore, it was also discovered that Jarvis Kimble had a warrant for Murder out of Kaufman County.

On November 28, 2015, authorities say Kimble allegedly shot a homeowner in the neck with a handgun while committing a Burglary of Habitation.

The homeowner died at the scene.

Kaufman County detectives interviewed the suspect before he was taken to Lew Sterrett Jail by Dallas Police.

Jarvis Kimble has a bond of $1.5 million dollars.
