FORT WORTH (AP) — A self-proclaimed member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas was sentenced to 60 years in prison for killing a North Texas man he thought was faking membership in the white supremacist gang.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that District Judge Scott Wisch on Friday sentenced Staten "Monster" Corbett Jr. to 48 to 60 years for murder and 20 years for tampering with the corpse of 34-year-old Earnest Lackey. The sentences will be served concurrently.

A Tarrant County jury found him guilty in May.

Two other North Texas men are also charged in Lackey's death.

An autopsy found Lackey was cut with a sharp object and sodomized with a soldering iron during a meeting in July 2012 at a mobile home near Azle.
