It was a time when the bad guys always got caught and the good guys were known to all. When the signature song "Happy Trails" would herald another adventure with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
Cheryl Rogers Barnett is the daughter of the famous couple and her memories of life in Hollywood go way back.
"Dad started taking me to work with him when I was like two and a half and I really grew up at Republic Studios" said Cheryl Rogers Barnett.
She has composed her stories and hundreds of wonderful pictures in her two books "Cowboy Princess" and "Cowboy Princess Rides Again".
"It's all about growing up in the family and it was my attempt to answer the questions that people would pose when I was out doing film festivals" Cheryl noted.
The book answers lots of questions like were they as nice as nice as they appeared?
"Yeah they really were, I mean you would have loved to have them for neighbors" Cheryl added.
You can see the documentary on Roy Rogers and the family, as well as meet Cheryl Rogers Barnett, tomorrow night at 7 pm at The Allen Public Library. She will be signing her books and chatting with fans until around 9:30 pm.
