Armored-car guard killed during robbery attempt in Dallas

EAST DALLAS (CBSNewsTexas.com) - A uniformed armored-car guard was shot and killed Friday morning in Dallas.

David Ruback, 52, was taken to a local hospital where he died Sept. 1.

The shooting happened at Big Jim's in the 100 block of S. Carroll Avenue at about 9:35 a.m.

Police said there's no suspect description at this time, and no one is in custody.

The investigation is ongoing with detectives actively working leads.
