FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Fort Worth police say an officer shot a suspect multiple times after he refused to drop his pistol when located by police after firing at an unoccupied, parked vehicle. The suspect was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Police say that on Saturday night officers responding to call at the Dublin Square Pub at I-35W and Western Center Boulevard found that the suspect had fired at the vehicle following an argument between individuals.

Police say officers then went to the suspect's home in the 6700 block of Friendsway Drive. As officers approached, the suspect emerged with a pistol and raised it. The suspect refused to drop the pistol and then was shot multiple times by one of the officers. No officers were hurt.

Fort Worth police are investigating the incident. The officer, who was commissioned in 2010, has been placed on administrative leave.
