Arlington Teen Arrested, Accused Of Threatening H.S. On Social Media

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - An Arlington teenager behind bars this morning after allegedly making a threat on social media to shoot up a high school. Police say James Bowie High School was at the center of the threats.

Parents say there was a heavy police presence around the high school after the incident happened on Tuesday.

The threat centered around this tweet.

Another tweet, sent after the one above, from the same account said, "I hav 23 bullets nd wnt to kill 10 of yu (expletive)"

Wednesday night the Arlington Police Department tweeted about the status of the investigation.

Police later confirmed that Shalaria Jones had been linked to the threats posted on social media and was the person in custody. Police say the 17-year-old will be charged with Terroristic Threat.

Jones is being held on a $10,000 bond.
