Arlington PD Need Public's Help Locating Suspect

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington PD is hoping the public can help them locate a man accused of attacking a woman in her Arlington home.

A composite sketch of the suspect has been made with hopes the suspect will be recognized.

Friday, officers were called to the 2100 block of Marilyn Lane at about 8:45 am.

Officers arrived and learned that a woman was walking to the front door of her home when she noticed a man standing behind her.

He asked the woman for money and then approached her carrying a knife.

The man forced the woman into her house and demanded any cash she had. The victim provided some money.

When he was not satisfied with that amount, he ordered the woman to go into the bedroom and was given more money.

The suspect also stole jewelry from the woman, including a gold necklace with a heart-shaped pendant of which a photo is included in this message.

After committing the aggravated robbery, the suspect attempted to sexually assault the victim and instead physically assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black man with a light complexion who is around 28-30 years old and about 5-feet 8-inches tall.

He has a thin build and facial hair in the form of a goatee that hangs about one inch from his chin.
At the time of the assault, the suspect was wearing black Reebok sweatpants, a gray zip-front hooded jacket and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about this aggravated assault is encouraged to call the Arlington Police Department.

Also, anyone with information can leave an anonymous tip using Crime Stoppers at 817 469-TIPS (8477).
