TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A North Texas father has been arrested for allegedly causing the death of his 5-month-old daughter.

Police say little Marjorie Ramos-Pena had multiple fractures and a serious head injury.

The Arlington Police Department began their investigation on January 28, when they were notified that Marjorie was unconscious and being transported by ambulance to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.

The child's mother later told police that when she arrived home from work she noticed her daughter refused to eat and was not acting normally.

The baby remained hospitalized for days, but died from her injuries on February 4. Police arrested Marjorie's father, Edwin Alexander Andrade-Ramos, that same day.

Andrade-Ramos is charged with Injury to a Child/Serious Bodily Injury and remains in the Arlington City Jail on a $126,000 bond.
