Are You Glad That Jerry Bought The Cowboys?
105.3 THE FAN -- There are polarizing opinions on Jerry Jones.
He's a competitive owner who has three Super Bowls under his belt.
He's a meddling owner who won't push his ego aside for the sake of the team.
The list goes on and on.
I personally love Jerry the purchaser and owner. GM Jerry is a different story.
But as we celebrated his 25th anniversary of purchasing the team, I look back at a man who came in as a wildcatter and has never let that go.
I see four teams who have never had a Super Bowl appearance, let alone a Super Bowl win.
I see nine other teams who have been to the Super Bowl and lost. And here the Cowboys are in the Jerry Jones era, with one more Super Bowl in his tenure than they had the entire time in previous ownership.
Sure Jerry has lived the past 15-17 years of the nostalgia he built with Troy, Emmit and Michael. But at least he has something to live off of than failed opportunities like the Bills or complete failures like Cleveland and Detroit.
