AP Source: Will Ferrell To Appear In 5 MLB Spring Games

PHOENIX (AP) - A person with knowledge of the plan says comedian Will Ferrell will play all nine positions while making appearances at five Arizona spring training games on Thursday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity Wednesday because Ferrell's plans had not officially been announced.
Earlier the Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres confirmed the star of "Anchorman" and many other movies would appear in their games.
The person said Ferrell would go from game to game via helicopter.
The teams involved announced last week they were moving back the start of their games on Thursday to accommodate a request by Major League Baseball, which is coordinating with HBO to film a special that day.
Ferrell's plans to appear in spring training games were first reported by USA Today.
