DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Drivers can now see what the Dallas North Tollway will look like when addition of a fourth lane is complete. NTTA is making improvements to ease current congestion during peak drive times from Interstate 635 north to the Sam Rayburn Tollway.

The latest section of construction, from just south of the President George Bush Turnpike to Beltline Road is featured in two new videos.

Both the Driver's View and Aerial View videos detail widening and upcoming changes to DNT such as, four lanes in each direction, a new aggregate surface and light standards moved from the center median to the outside of the roadway for ease of maintenance.

For safety during construction, roadway signage has been changed to reflect the lowered speed limit of 55 mph in this area, which will be enforced throughout construction.

"Once completed, this project will significantly provide a benefit to drivers," said NTTA Assistant Executive Director of Infrastructure Elizabeth Mow. "We appreciate our customers' increased attention within work zones."
