American Airlines Flight Experiences "Issue," Lands At DFW

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — An American Airlines flight landed safely after reporting an "issue" when approaching Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Sunday, a company official said.

American Airlines flight #5775 operated by MESA Airlines "reported an issue upon approach to DFW," the official said. The CRJ900 left Des Moines International Airport in Iowa at 10:54 a.m. Central and arrived at DFW at 12:39 p.m.

The plane landed and deplaned safely on a taxiway, the official said. The 76 passengers and four crew members were bussed to the terminal.

No injuries were reported.

American Airlines said the plane was taken out of service and is being evaluated by maintenance.
