HOUSTON (CBSDFW.COM) - An Amber Alert was canceled today shortly after being issued for three missing McKinney children.  Houston police found them during a traffic stop.

According to police the children were found safe in a car with their biological mother around 1 pm Saturday.

Phalen Cole, 6; Phillip Cole, 8; and Carnalita Singleton, 10, have been placed in the care of Child Protective Services. Police said Domonique Singleton, 29, is the biological mother of the three children. Police say the mother will likely not face any charges.

Houston police stopped Singleton's car because it fit the description referenced in the Amber Alert.

The original alert was issued around noon.
