MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) - The Mansfield ISD Board of Trustees approved 2015-2016 salary increases for all MISD employees.

For teachers, librarians, and registered nurses, each step on the salary matrix has been increased by 3 percent.

Employees will move up one step on the compensation matrix to correspond with years of service completed.

In addition, the minimum salary for first-year teachers, librarians, and registered nurses is now $53,000.

All other employees will receive an increase of 3 percent of the midpoint for their assigned pay grade.

Employee stipends have also been increased by 3 percent.

"We believe that the approved salary increases will enable Mansfield ISD to continue recruiting and retaining faculty and staff who are devoted to providing excellent educational services to our students," said Karen Wentworth, Associate Superintendent of Human Resource Services.
