Alabama's Allen, Shepherd injured

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama right tackle Austin Shepherd and defensive end Jonathan Allen both left the game against Texas A&M with apparent leg injuries.

Shepherd was helped off the field in the first half Saturday. He returned to the sideline wearing a protective boot on his left foot.

Allen was hurt in the third quarter. He appeared to be favoring his left leg before he was taken to the locker room on a cart.

Allen had two tackles, including a sack.

There was no immediate word about the severity of their injuries.
