Airline Passenger Arrested For Assault, Public Intox At DFW

DALLAS, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas Fort Worth Airport police have now released the details of a fight outside a gate in terminal C last week.

According to police 27-year old McCleish Christmas Benham of Shelbyville, Tennessee was arrested for public intoxication and assault after attacking a man he thought was homosexual.

Reports say several passengers witnessed Benham being verbally abusive to a female Amercian Airlines agent at gate C-30 on Thursday afternoon.

 

When a fellow passenger warned him that police were on the way, Benham angrily began to berate him - hurling gay slurs.

When Benham threatened the passenger and hit him, several other passengers jumped in - pinning Benham to the ground until Airport Police arrived.

The police report also says Benham told another woman he had "100 drinks."

The whole incident was recorded on cell phone video and posted to YouTube.
