AA Flight Slides Off Taxiway At D-FW Airport

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - An American Airlines flight slid off the taxiway into the grass at DFW International Airport Monday night.

The pilot of Flight 296 from San Antonio to Dallas-Fort Worth was taxiing after the plane landed when the plane slid.

No one was hurt and buses came to get passengers and take them safely to the terminal.

American Airlines Flight 296 from San Antonio to DFW had to make an emergency landing.

The MD 80 aircraft had a crew of five and 63 passengers. There were no reports of injuries and passengers were transported safely from the plane to the terminal

In all, some 1,080 flights were canceled Monday at DFW Airport because of weather.

As a precaution, the airport already canceled 175 flights, inbound and outbound, for Tuesday.
