ARLINGTON (CBSDFDW.COM) -- Crews in Arlington are busy cleaning up AT&T Stadium after the venue hosted a record-breaking Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony on Sunday night.

The 50th edition of the awards broke the Guinness World Record for the biggest audience at an awards show. The announced attendance at AT&T Stadium was 70,252.

"I was really proud, just in general, of the show being here," said Lindale, Texas native Miranda Lambert. "All the artists and all the fans got to see what we're about in Texas. The crowd was so warm and so excited and such huge fans of country music. You could feel it in the room."

On Sunday, Lambert became the most awarded female in the history of the academy -- winning three awards on the night -- Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Fans hope that the awards show will soon return to North Texas and AT&T Stadium. But next year, the show returns to Las Vegas.
