DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A 60-year-old man is in serious condition after being robbed, stabbed and dragged last Wednesday, March 16.

Police say the man was sitting in his truck in a parking lot at 500 North Hampton Road around 1:00 a.m. when another manopened the passenger door to his truck and climbed in. Police say the suspect had a knife and demanded the victim's cash.

The suspect then demanded that the victim drive him to Pleasant Grove. The victim drove the suspect to 2200 John West where the suspect demanded that the victim withdrawal money from an ATM. The victim told the robber he had no debit card. The suspect then began stabbing the victim in the head and face.

The victim managed to get away by opening the door of his truck and falling to the pavement. The suspect got into the driver seat and drove over and dragged the victim. The victim remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The victim's truck was found abandoned at 4800 Olson and is in the Dallas police auto pound.

Police describe the suspect as an "Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, with straight black hair. The suspect was wearing a hoodie at the time of the offense."

Police say the suspect's first name is believed to be "Richard."

During the assault, the victim may have injured one of the suspect's ears and he may therefore have a fresh injury.
