Dallas High Rise Under Construction Catches Fire

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Fire-Rescue is responding to a 2-alarm structure fire at an under construction, eight-story,high-rise at 500 South Ervay Street, on the Easy side of Dallas City Hall.

This fire reportedly started in a trash chute,  but there is no word on what caused it, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans.

Around 4:30 p.m. command reported the fire was under control.

The trash chute was located on the outside of the building, with the majority of the flames showing at the third and fourth floor levels, according to Evans.  It;s not believed that the flames effected the inside of the building

There have been no injuries reported.
