4 Robbery Suspects Arrested Near Crime Scene

DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) -  Four 17-year-olds were arrested after a robbery and assault.

Denton Police said it happened in the 2400 block of Stockbridge Road around 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday.

A witness had reported four young men had robbed a man, taking his wallet and backpack.

Police said the 22-year-old victim had "sustained a contusion on the left side of his head, as a result of being hit and kicked when he was robbed."

Officers saturated the area and found the suspects in a wooded area near a Home Depot.

Police said the suspects had items from the victim's wallet and police arrested the four men.  A short time later, they were interviewed and admitted to the robbery.

The suspects were identified as Savion D. Brown,  Chardell Dawant Brockman, Edgar Rodrigo Rodriguez and Jordon Kurtiss Kentrel Carter.

They were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity since they allegedly worked together while committing a robbery.

Bond for each suspect is set at $50,000.
