EULESS (CBSDFW) - A spokesperson with the Euless Police Department has confirmed that late Monday night a female inmate was found unresponsive in a jail cell and was pronounced dead shortly after.

The body of Adria Rios was found as detention officers were making a routine check of inmates. Officers immediately tried to help Rios, 35, but she was unresponsive and all first aid efforts failed.

The exact cause of Rios death is under investigation, but officials say there appears to be no foul play involved.

Rios had been taken to the Euless jail after Hurst police arrested her for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Identify.
