DALLAS (AP) - At least three people have been slightly hurt in a fire at a Dallas apartment complex.

Dallas Fire-Rescue early Wednesday responded to reports of smoke and flames in a second-floor unit. Officials say a ladder had to be used to rescue a man and two children.

Authorities say three people were transported to a hospital to be treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the fire that damaged several units before being extinguished.

Dallas Fire-Rescue did not immediately provide additional details Wednesday.
