2Q Earnings Up For Denton-Based Sally Beauty Holdings

DENTON, Texas (AP) - Fiscal second-quarter earnings rose more than 5 percent for Sally Beauty Holdings Inc.

The Denton-based company on Tuesday cited improved sales growth from established stores.

Sally Beauty earned $61.5 million, or 39 cents per share, in the quarter that ended March 31. That's up from earnings of $58.5 million, or 35 cents per share, a year ago.

The results from the most recent quarter matched average Wall Street expectations.

The beauty products seller said its revenue rose 2 percent to $937.8 million in the period.
