DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder for the killing of a man two years his senior, according to police.
Dallas police say Cedric Damon Ford allegedly abducted the victim, 25-year-old Jamal Lewis, at gunpoint around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Less than an hour later, gunshots were reported in the area where Lewis' body was found, according to police.
Police say officers responded to the 1900 block of Muncie Avenue regarding Lewis' death around 9 a.m. the next morning after a witness report. The witness told police they saw Ford the night before in the back seat of a car, pointing a gun at Lewis' head as he was driving, according to the arrest warrant.
Ford has been charged with murder and is in jail on $500,000 bond.
