So & So's boasts that it offers "something for everyone" at this "friendly, come-as-your-are bar." The chef in the kitchen is well-known in the Dallas area and has an impressive list of stints at restaurants including Meddlesome Mother and Nobu. The bar, which used to be a popular Tex-Mex spot, features a tin ceiling, dark wood and some eclectic pieces. If you're coming here for cocktails, you might want to try its 'Such and Such Martini' or the frozen blueberry mojito.

Although it is a tap house, don't let the name fool you. While it definitely has a wide variety of beers on tap, including local and craft beers, it also has a great list of specialty cocktails. This 7,000-square-foot bar is a great place to watch your favorite sports team, but it is also a great place to enjoy a cocktail on the patio. There are daily food and drink specials. The 'Spicy Paloma' is a great option for a cocktail or you could try a classic cocktail with a twist like the 'Moscow Bull.'

Vagabond Bar was voted D Magazine's Best Bar Food for 2014. With live music every week, this bar is known for its great concerts. That's right, this is a speakeasy hidden away in Deep Ellum. It goes all out to create the perfect atmosphere with a buzzer and a secret password that changes every week (check the Facebook page for the newest password). The menu features seasonal flavors and the fall menu includes drinks like the 'Pyrut Pumpkin Eater' and and 'Black Tea Fizz.'
