McKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - The DPS said one person died in a crash in US 380 Monday around 2:15 p.m. in McKinney.  Seven people were injured.

Officials with the Collin County Sheriff's Department originally told CBS11 two people were killed.

The crash involving a small tanker truck, an SUV and a pickup, happened about a quarter of a mile east of County Road 330.

DPS said the SUV sideswiped a westbound Dodge pickup in the left lane.  The pickup then crossed into the eastbound lanes and hit a tan Chevy Suburban head-on.

The Suburban was then struck by a tanker truck traveling eastbound.  That tanker truck rolled on its side.

At least two people were airlifted to the hospital.

The road was shut down until around 9:00 p.m. Monday.

From Chopper 11 the extensive destruction could be seen from the air.

The small tanker truck was resting on its side and appeared to have heavy front end damage as well.

Hoses and equipment from that truck were scattered nearby.

A gray SUV which appeared to have rolled at least once had most of its windows shattered.
