2 Dead Following Head-On Collision In Collin County

(COLLIN COUNTY (1080 KRLD) - Two people are dead following a head-on collision in Collin County that happened late Sunday night.

Officials from the Department of Public Safety say a car crossed the center line and smashed into an oncoming Cadillac on Highway 78, about a mile north of Copeville.

According to DPS, 57-year old Robert Crider of Farmersville died at the scene.

28-year-old Anastacio Rosas was transported to the hospital and later died later of his injuries.

A passenger in one of the cars was taken by helicopter to Medical Center of Plano with serious injuries.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
