2 Dallas Men Busted With 537 Pounds Of Pot

MISSOURI (CBSDFW.COM) - Two men from Dallas were busted with 537 pounds of marijuana by a deputy of the Phelps County Sheriff's Department Criminal Interdiction Team following a traffic stop on Interstate 44 in Missouri.

The deputy obtained consent to search the U-Haul Truck after pulling Baldo York, 34 and Erie Perez Puga, 29, over.

While conducting a search of the rental truck, the he discovered 537 pounds of marijuana, valued at more than $500,000 concealed within the contents of the cargo.

York and Puga were arrested and transported to the Phelps County Sheriff's Department.

Today warrants were issued on both York and Puga for one count of 'first-degree drug trafficking'. Bond was set at $500,000.00 each.
